As this year ends and we celebrate various holiday traditions such as, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Chanukah, Solstice, I wish you the very best and I invite you to reflect on 2011 and release all fears, doubts, resentments, anger, pain, and any attachments to what no longer serves you.
I also invite you to embrace the lessons and the gifts that have come from all your experiences, whether in the moment they appeared as positive or negative. I pray that in the New Year you allow yourself to see the gifts in every experience as it is happening. I pray that you are able to easily and effortlessly feel and see the “silver lining” to every grey cloud that may pass in your life. Seeing the gifts immediately releases the pain quickly and allows for great healing to take place.
The ability to forgive. I pray that first and foremost you forgive yourself. Being angry or resentful is like taking poison and expecting the other person to die. Forgive them and yourself. Forgiving is a selfish act, it FREES you to live a happier life. Forgiving yourself is the ultimate gift that you can give to yourself. We tend to hold grudges against ourselves thinking that we could have done better, or been better when in truth we did the very best we could at the moment with the knowledge and awareness we had in that moment. Hind sight is 20/20 vision however, hindsight only leads down the road of regret, a road that leads no where.
As we close 2011 and step into 2012, I wish for you an abundance of all good things, the ability to see and feel the gifts and the love you are receiving each moment. The ability to appreciate everyone and every experience in your life as they are all opportunities for growth and new awareness. The knowing that everything is perfect just as it is, that there are no accidents in the universe. And most of all the confidence and trust that the Universe is conspiring on your behalf and that everything will work and is working out in your best interest, right now!
