For years now my mantra has been “time is on my side”. Divine Right Timing plays a big role in my life. Feelings of frustration and powerlessness can arise when we feel we do not have enough time. Or, when we feel that what we want to accomplish does not happen as we planned. Today time was the theme for the conference call I facilitated for my Inca Medicine Wheel students.
I had stopped halfway home from an early morning appointment in Austin, Texas to make this call. As I sat in my car connected to the conference call via cell phone my students and I talked about Divine Timing. How everything unfolds in perfect time, even if at first we do not see it that way. Even though everything does not get done or go as well as we initially planned. Divine Timing takes all of that control out of our hands. I strongly believe there is a force that has a superior awareness of what we need and when we need it. Even though we set goals and deadlines we may become frustrated when things do not work the way we want. Yet, if we wait and allow the Divine to provide we often find more promising possibilities and opportunities appear.
As it is just two days before Thanksgiving and we talked about how holidays are stressful for most people. How we as sensitive people may tap into the emotions of the collective consciousness. Often we sense what is happening globally yet are unaware of tuning into it until later we find out the cause of our emotions. This happens for me often.
Not long after the initial news reports of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill a few years ago, an overwhelming wave of heavy grief came over me. I just could not shake it. It felt like someone close to me had died. Later that day when I checked the news online I read a report of the first wildlife washing up on shore coated with oil. I had tuned into the grief and helplessness of those assisting the animals, as well as the wildlife’s pain and suffering.
To finish our call I led a meditation in which we tapped into the eternal energy of the stars and cleared our energies with Golden White Light. As the call came to a close we all felt more balanced, energized yet calm and refreshed.
Thirty minutes later I stopped to purchase a few groceries at Natural Grocers. After paying I remember that I wanted a roasting chicken and I asked the clerk if they sold them. She said, yes and directed me to the meat department. It took just five minutes to select the chicken and stand in line a second time to check out. After packing the groceries in the car I drove onto I-35 the main highway through Texas. It was three o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday before Thanksgiving and the holiday traffic was already heavy. Within a few minutes, less than a mile up the road, I came upon a three car accident. It had just happened. I believe that if I had not gone back for that chicken, I might have been in the mix of it all. Thankfully, I was saved by a chicken and Divine Right Timing!
What I had shared with my students just a short time before played over and over in my head. I have always felt protected by the infinite greatness of the Universe, and I am truly grateful for that five minute delay. It is in these moments I feel the depth of my connection with all creation. In these moments I feel the unseen protection that is always available to me, and to each of us, in every moment of our lives.
This holiday season, I wish an abundance of all good things and Divine Right Timing.
