NAVIGATING GRIEF & LOSS DURING THE HOLIDAYS

1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. ET Sunday 12/3/2023

Are there times when you dread the holidays, possibly due to feelings of grief and loss?  Do you keep these feelings to yourself and put on a cheery mask for the others while you plod through because you don’t want to be the one to ruin the holiday?

Here is a secret. We all feel grief and loss at various times and the holidays can bring up these deeper emotions.

Two years ago during the pandemic, I felt a huge wave of grief overtake me. I missed my father who passed in 1999. How was it possible that I was still grieving so deeply during Christmas 2020? That’s the nature of grief. It’s cyclical. It comes back around. Maybe not as deep and dreadful as it was during the initial loss but sometimes strong enough to stop us in our tracks.

We can grieve all sorts of losses. Even what some might consider small losses may feel overwhelming at times.

Perhaps you have experienced the loss of a loved one – through death or estrangement. Loss of friendship. Loss of a beloved pet. A change of home or location. Left a job to retire or start a new job. Or, maybe your health has changed.

All of these can bring up feelings that make us feel uncomfortable, especially when everyone around appears to be filled with the holiday spirit.

Grief is said to be love with nowhere to go. They say we grieve hard because we loved so much.

All of that can be true for us, AND…

Also true is you can keep the love and release the debilitating heaviness of the grief.

In this workshop, we will work together to reduce/release the heaviness and invite in lightness.

The workshop incorporates Self-care energy techniques that you can use at home as well as journaling. So, bring an open heart & mind. Bring your journal and pen (or your laptop).
